About Dr. Arjan Kuipers

A Lifelong Mission: Healing the Brain, Restoring Lives

Dr. Arjan Kuipers is a seasoned clinician, consultant, and rehabilitation product developer with over 33 years of experience at the intersection of chiropractic and neuroscience. His journey into brain health began in his youth when his mother suffered from debilitating brainstem migraines following multiple head injuries. Witnessing her struggles ignited his passion for understanding and treating complex neurological conditions.

This passion deepened when his daughter was diagnosed with autism and faced significant developmental challenges, including delayed speech. Driven by personal experience, Dr. Kuipers dedicated his career to exploring innovative solutions for brain-related issues,  stroke, and traumatic brain injuries.

Dr. Kuipers holds diplomatic status with the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (ACNB) and is an official member of the International Association for Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation (IAFNR). 

Global Practice & Collaborative Innovation

Throughout his career, Dr. Kuipers has practiced and consulted in various countries, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, and Cyprus. He co-founded Brain.rehab alongside stroke survivor and author Linda Radestad. Together, they developed intensive stroke rehabilitation programs that combine clinical neuroscience with functional movement training, aiming to accelerate recovery beyond traditional timelines.

Arjan Kuipers is actively engaged in clinical research, contributing to peer-reviewed publications in the field of neurorehabilitation and auditory therapy. He co-authored the systematic review Post-Stroke Rehabilitation: Neurophysiology Processes of Bilateral Movement Training and Interlimb Coupling—A Systematic Review, published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine, which explores the neurophysiological foundations of bilateral movement training in stroke rehabilitation.
